Sea Spray Bohemian Top – Crochet Pattern

Get lost in the mystery and tranquility of the ocean with the whimsical Sea Spray Bohemian Top… As you admire the vastness of the horizon with the sun gently slipping behind the rolling clouds, throw this extra layer over your favourite sundress, helping to bring a touch of warmth to your cool shoulders. From the lightweight design to the delicate nature of this versatile top, this stylish piece ticks all the right boxes!

Can’t you just picture this boho top being worn on a trip to the seaside, as you inhale the sharp, salty smell of the air. For this delicate design I knew I wanted to work it up in a light cotton with an airy stitch, helping to make this piece as soft and flow-y as an ocean breeze.

While on the hunt for the perfect yarn, We Are Knitters reached out and it wasn’t long before we teamed up on this fun design as for the longest time I’ve been obsessed with the smoothness of their pima cotton yarn! If you’ve never heard of them before you must be living under a rock as they have a massive selection of the most beautiful fibres, kits and patterns (“The Wool” being a fave of mine)!.. Something for everyone, whether you’re an absolute newbie or a crochet veteran. They’ve just celebrated their 6th year together, and it’s easy to see why they’ve been so successful as practically every crocheter or knitter has their yarns on their Christmas wish-list this year!

When I first spotted their pima cotton in this beautiful hue, I could already feel my toes curling in the sand, and the warmth of my sun-kissed cheeks… Without any hesitation I knew it was the perfect fit for this boho top!

The great thing about this pattern is that the construction is pretty simple, and the overall design uses a lot of repeats helping you to enjoy a peaceful, and stress-free crochet experience… If you’re ready to dive into this pattern, you can find the free pattern below or purchase an ad-free, printable PDF here!

How close is a dk yarn to a medium/4 size yarn? It’s very lovely and I would like to try it in an acrylic.

Trying to figure out, is this top crocheted from top to bottom of side to side? Love the design, but want to make longer. Can I just increase number of chains? And how many are needed to make pattern?
