Hello friends! My name is Olivia, and I love finding beauty and inspiration in art, nature, music and the people around me. I've always been in love with all forms of creativity, as I find it such a wonderful and magical way to express exactly who you are to the world.

Over the last few years of my blogging journey, I’ve love exploring through the wonderful world of crochet, and using those techniques I’ve learned to create adorable baby accessories, chic cowls and fashionable flapper hats!

Growing up, I was a quiet and somewhat shy child, and enjoyed spending multiple hours sitting in a tree writing, whilst soaking up the sun, and admiring the world below... Creativity has just been my way of life since birth... I'd be lost without it. Yes, I just realised I sound like Pocahontas, but guess what? According to Disney, I have her personality type!.. Wait, where was I? Oh yes, reliving my childhood!

Well, I grew up in South Africa, and around the age of six my family emigrated to Australia... The land of sunshine and never ending beaches. I was in heaven.
After much searching, we finally decided to settle down in a small coastal town, just a few hours south of Sydney. It was, and still is a perfectly beautiful place to call home!.. Especially for an artsy type like me.

Throughout my high-school years I unfortunately became ill, and spent five years in and out of hospital, staying months at a time. As most of you will understand all too well, no one enjoys being stuck at home sick. So in an attempt to remain sane and smiling, I took writing up again as well as crocheting and photography... I've always been a firm believer that if you can't see the bright side of life, polish the dull side!

So, a few years ago I finally decided to build up the courage and start a blog. It was literally love at first sight! Blogging has somehow managed to compile so many of my creative outlets, and roll it all into one neat little package.

In addition to blogging, I'm also very passionate about teaching others a love for learning and creating. Just like Albert Einstein, I strongly feel that “Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand.”
I want to inspire people to create, and to fill the world with new art, ideas and beauty.

My adorable little sister and I...

I'm so thankful for all my wonderful family and friends, and most importantly, God. They've all been there for me through the years, supporting and loving me every step of this journey called life.
I feel truly blessed!
