Copacabana Espadrilles – Review + Giveaway
Wide-brimmed sun hats and the faint smell of sunscreen are a sure sign that summer is getting ready to make a grand entrance! Many of you may have heard by now that Australian summers are known for their stifling heat and humidity, making me especially grateful to live by the beach, as the cool sea breeze helps to ease the hot, lingering weather.
When I think of summer, cotton sundresses and and comfortable sandals come to mind. Espadrilles have been around for hundreds of years, but recently they have swiftly made their way into every casual yet fashionable outfit thanks to their chic and stylish design. Freshly updated, these modern sandals pair perfectly with anything and everything, making them a versatile piece that belongs in every summer wardrobe!
After I finished crocheting my “Wild Thing Rug” by Wool And The Gang a couple of months ago, I was excited to hear they were releasing a brand new design that sounded fun and intriguing! The “Copacabana Espadrilles” are the ideal warm-weather accessory to have, so once my kit arrived at my front door I couldn’t wait to dive into this unique project!

I did find myself wanting a bit more emotional depth or contrast, but I think the intention here is to capture a mood rather than tell a story—and it does that well. In a funny way, it reminded me of how I feel when I take a break and play smash karts unblocked—just easy, carefree enjoyment without overthinking anything. That same sense of simplicity and fun carries through the whole piece.

The Copacabana Espadrilles kit looks perfect for beginners, especially with the easy instructions and soft upcycled Mixtape Yarn. I really like creative DIY projects like this because they feel relaxing and rewarding. When I’m not crafting, I usually spend time playing SoFlo Wheelie Life game to practice wheelie balance and bike control challenges.
