Sun rays trickling through the dry, golden grass slowly dance their way up your legs; Painting your body in warmth and sprinkling your skin with tiny freckles.

Get lost in nature this summer, and discover your inner free spirit with the whimsical Whispering Birch Bohemian Vest. From the delicate trellis design to the light weight fringe blowing carelessly in the afternoon breeze, this dreamy vest will add a touch of modern elegance to any summer outfit…

With a variety of textures on display it pairs perfectly with a feminine sundress or distressed denim shorts and a loose tee.

It’s no secret that I love working with Lion Brand’s scrumptious yarns, so when I was in the process of designing this lightweight vest I knew their 24/7 Cotton was a match made in heaven! If you’re looking for some summer-friendly yarn (that effortlessly glides over your hook) I highly recommend giving this yarn a go… A new favourite of mine for sure!

Lion Brand is also offering a kit containing all the 24/7 Cotton yarn you’ll need to complete this pattern – head on over to their site to purchase!

LOVE THIS! but, just for the record, the link to Lion Brand for yarn does not work….and when I enter pattern name in search (at Lionbrand.com). it shows NO result…somebody's wires are crossed.
But I LOVE THIS VEST! and one of my daughters would never take it off!

thank you for the beautiful pattern! What is the crochet hook you are using in your beautiful photos? I'd like to know where to buy. Is it a removable hook holder on the end or one piece? Thanks!

Could you explain the Dec in 3rd chain then Dec in 3rd turning chain? I’ve never done this and I can only find tutorials on turning

Would love to make this vest. It is so gorgeous. But I need it in XL and the pattern is not written for that size. Hoping that you can adjust the pattern for larger sizes. Your work is always beautiful.

I'm currently making this in the Med/Lrg size. Row 55 through Row 58 states to repeat rows 51 and 52. I'm having trouble making this work. Is this maybe a typo? Should I actually be repeating Rows 53 and 54 for the back panel? Love the pattern so far!

When sewing the sides did you use a crochet stitch? I ‘m having trouble figuring out how it works. It’s a beautiful pattern, and I’d like to make it for my sister, but I’m a little confused 🙂

Hello, I am currently crocheting this pattern which I purchased from Lion Brand. I am quite confused about the length of the vest , at row 40 the back section of the vest is very short and now already after row 40 you are adding armholes. This will make the vest about 20 inches in length and not the 32” you are saying it will end at. Is the pattern a misprint?
