Every evening as I sit browsing through Pinterest, I always stumble upon a bundle of newborns wearing the fluffiest, most adorable animal themed outfits. This got me thinking, what better way to celebrate this Easter than with a whimsical bunny set, the perfect mix of cozy and cute!

With a soft, fluffy cottontail and tiny bunny nose, this crocheted Easter bunny set will be an instant favourite!.. As well as an adorable photo prop outfit for all those playful holiday photos.

580yds [710yds] Chunky Yarn (12ply) – Patons “Merino Extrafine Big” (43yds/50g)
Tapestry Needle; 4 Buttons (1”/2.5cm);

Finished Size

This hat and diaper cover set is made for 0 – 3 months old. Changes for size 3 – 6 months are in [ ].

Newborn, 0 – 3 Months Old
Hat Circumference: 13.5 inches (34cm)
Hat Height: 5.5 inches (14cm)
Diaper Cover Waist: 13 inches (33cm)

3 – 6 Months Old
Hat Circumference: 15 inches (38cm)
Hat Height: 6 inches, 15cm
Diaper Cover Waist: 16 inches (41cm)

Skill Level

This is an “Easy – Intermediate” level crochet pattern (includes “How-To” photos). You must be familiar with basic crochet stitches and techniques. Directions written so that they are easy to read and follow. All patterns are in English, and written in standard US terms.

  1. Easter…the Resurrection of the Lord Jesus. Colored eggs being hunted by children dressed in their beautiful, often crocheted, Easter finery and carrying woven baskets of purples, pinks, greens and yellows. Chocolate…lots of chocolate, and jelly beans and of course, that loveable bunny that some lucky children will get to cuddle…if it's crocheted!
