Valentines Heart Crochet Pattern

Whether you are or aren’t celebrating Valentines Day this year, that shouldn’t stop you from crocheting an array of tiny little hearts!..

Some girls might want dozens of flowers, and others might want a box of chocolate, but me, I just want some pretty yarn and a crochet hook and I’m the happiest girl in the world.

Materials

3.5mm (E/4) Crochet Hook
2 – 3yds Sport Yarn (5ply) – Drops Safran (175yds/100g)
— Off White/18 (1 skeins)
— Light Pink/01 (1 skeins)
— Medium Pink/02 (1 skeins)
Tapestry Needle;

Finished Size

Easily adjustable, depending on yarn weight and hook size used.

Width: 1.5″ (4cm)
Height: 1.25” (3cm)

Gauge

24 stitches + 12 rows = 4″/10cm in double crochet

Stitch & Abbreviations

st(s) – stitch(es)
ch – chain stitch
sl st – slip stitch
dc – double crochet
tr – triple crochet
dtr – double triple crochet

 

Skill Level

This is an “Easy” level crochet pattern (includes “How-To” photos). You must be familiar with basic crochet stitches and techniques. Directions written so that they are easy to read and follow. All patterns are in English, and written in standard US terms.

+ HEART

Create a magic ring using Sport yarn and and 3.50mm crochet hook.

Rnd 1: Ch3. 1 tr in magic ring. 1 dtr in magic ring. 2 tr in magic ring. 3 dc in magic ring. Ch1, 1 tr in magic ring, ch1. 3 dc in magic ring. 2 tr in magic ring. 1 dtr in magic ring. 1 tr in magic ring. Ch3, sl st in magic ring.

Fasten off, and weave in loose ends.
