Snowbird Picot Pompom Scarf – Giveaway + Crochet Pattern

From the day I received this bundle of chunky Debbie Bliss wool from KnittingFever, I was itching to put it to good use with one of my larger wooden crochet hooks.

Since I can remember, “mint” has always been a favourite colour of mine, and funnily enough, I’ve never crocheted myself a wooly mint scarf before!.. Now that it’s completed, I don’t know why I never have in the past, as it adds such a whimsical and pretty touch to an outfit! Mint always makes me think of the cooler months of the year, what about you?

During Winter one of the most tempting things is to stay indoors, whilst snuggling under a mountain of cosy blankets, as you sip hot chocolate, reading your favourite book.

Unfortunately, every now and then you have to brace the cold and venture out of your warm sanctuary… As the snow continues to fall steadily, grabbing this Snowbird Picot Pompom Scarf from your coatrack as you head out the door will help to protect you against the chilly, foggy weather! This scarf was designed with cool evenings in mind, making it the perfect accessory to throw on to keep you warm and toasty while you go for a stroll along the beach…

For all the chunky scarf enthusiasts out there, it’s your lucky day as I’ve just added the pattern for this design to my Craftsy and Etsy Shop!

Oversized scarves are one of the biggest crochet trends at the moment, so be sure to crochet yourself a chic Himalayan Mist Ribbed Scarf, or an extra cosy pocketed Mulberry Shadow Scarf!

You can find the pattern HERE!

Chunky yarn always helps when you want to finish a project quickly… but I specially like it because chunky yarn is always much fluffier and smooshier than others!

I have never yet made anything with chunky yarn, but I plan to soon. I've heard it works up fast, and it should be fluffy and cozy! I would like to have a scarf like this for myself. By the way, I love your updo! 🙂 You have such beautiful long hair. (Sorry for going off subject.)
