Personally I’ve always felt that vintage accessories have the power to transport you back to an era full of jazz music, glamour and closets overflowing with the most beautiful and elegantly made clothes!

The fashion of the past consists of such a beautiful assortment of colours and textures, which made my job of designing this vintage Weeping Willow Cloche Hat all the more easier and enjoyable!

Cool evenings are still very much present in the earlier stages of Spring, making this hat the perfect accessory for when you need some extra layers to keep you warm on those chillier days when the Summer heat hasn’t quite arrived yet… Which means that today is actually your lucky day, as I’ve just added the pattern for this design to my Craftsy and Etsy Shop!

It’s never to late to start adding some vintage charm to your wardrobe, so be sure to give this Downton Abbey Inspired Hat a cheeky little try, or even have a go at crocheting my 1920s Cloche Hat!

You can find the pattern HERE!

Hi Olivia, I finished Downton Abbey a couple of days ago,the costumes they wear in the shows are just amazing! And I am attracted by this Weeping Willow Cloche Hat when I first saw it! I really want to try to make one by myself. So please let me win the pattern! Thank you!

I love old crochet patterns for crocheted flowers — I have a couple that my mom bought back in the 1940's. I also love old crochet edgings. And I love your vintage hats! I have a vintage pattern for lacy cotton gloves, but haven't attempted them — awfully "fussy" and fiddly, but so pretty! 😉

I like the vintage look of the 60's and 70's a lot! So many of those designs have made a come back. One design that I notice and I like to do myself is the granny square. Just the simplicity of it is appealing, but the ability to give it different looks by using different colored yarns or not make it versatile. I like that you can make not only an afghan with the granny square motif, but you can make a simple stocking ornament, or even a cool looking poncho. There are endless possibilities when it comes to the granny square 🙂
