Vintage French Leg Warmers – Crochet Pattern + Giveaway

July 8, 2016 Category: Crochet / Let Warmers + Boot Cuffs / Patterns

39

A dream I’ve had since I was a little girl is to one day travel to Paris and explore the magnificent city… I’m not sure if this fascination with France comes from my obsession about the tv show “Madeline” which I watched every day when I was a child, or if it’s the elegant fashion, the intricate architecture and the beautiful French countryside that draws me to Paris.
Either way, I really enjoyed designing these leg warmers (which were actually featured in I Like Crochets issue!),  which I knew I just had to add the pattern to my Etsy and Craftsy Shops!
If you’d like to crochet some other French inspired projects, you might also like this Peaches & Cream French beret or even enjoy this 1920’s Lace Headband that would make an adorable addition to any outfit!
You can find the pattern HERE!

Materials:
5.00mm (H) Crochet Hook
240 – 320yds Aran Yarn (10ply) – Drops Paris
Tapestry Needle
14 Wooden Buttons (0.6” x 0.6”)
Size:
When choosing the size, keep in mind that the leg warmers stretch quite a lot, so the finished size of the leg warmer must be smaller than your leg actually is.
Adult – Small (Teen): Width 10.5″ (27cm); Length 13.5” (34cm)
Adult – Medium/Large: Width 12″ (30cm); Length 13.5” (34cm)

If you’d like the chance to win 1 of these 10 patterns, all you need to do is follow the prompts  in the Rafflecopter widget below and you’ll be entered to win!
(If you are reading this in your email, please click over to enter.)

There are no country restrictions, ANYONE can enter.
Good luck everyone, the giveaway closes Sunday July 17th at 12:00am AEST.

As usual, I'm working on more than one project at a time, a cotton summer tote, a dress/hat & sandals set in Drops Muskat for my niece and a Bernat Pipsqueak blanket for my grandson.

I adore your patterns! They are always so pristinely done and so lady-like, dainty! Remind me of growing up in the deep south. Wearing dresses, hats and gloves to church. Even when I was a tomboy the rest of the time, I was so charmed by being a girl on Sundays! Your patterns take me right back to that sense of charm and "Yes, I AM a girl!" Haha! Thank you for the opportunities you afford your followers for the giveaways!

I am working on a pencil case for my sister, and trying out knitting washcloths. 🙂 Your patterns are so awesome!!! I've been able to make lots of them and share them with other crochet loving friends. (My twin who mostly knits is getting jealous of all the cool patterns that you give.)

These are darling! I think I know who, on my "Christmas List" would be the perfect recipient for these! I think she'd absolutely LOVE them!
Now, if I can figure out just the right size…..hmmm! probably not much different than myself, actually – she's very close to my size..
Thank you, Olivia! these leg warmers are so "continental" looking…I think J would be overjoyed to receive these!

The pattern for Vintage Boot Cuffs (shown as pink with black boots) would not open for me. Can you please send me a new or refreshed link to this pattern; I would love to make them for my daughter-in-law.
