On the weekends, one of my favourite pastimes is strolling through markets discovering cute and quirky little knick-knacks… The other day as I was browsing through a stall I noticed how adorable their bunting looked as it adorned a little cupboard. This immediately set the wheels in motion, and it wasn’t long before I designed this sweet candy shop bunting you see above, which I happen to have just added the pattern to my Etsy and Craftsy shops!
If you’re not the biggest fan of buntings, but still enjoy crocheting the odd vintage project now and then, why not create a lilac and lace vintage hat or the cutest little pearl baby hat you’ve ever seen?!

You can find the pattern HERE!

Corner to Corner: 5″ (13cm)
Length: 79” (201cm) – Easily Adjustable

My latest crochet project would be hearts into squares, for a fellow crocheter, in the Netherlands. She is battling cancer in her lung and brain.. About 30 or so us crocheters, formed a secret group and making these squares to be all sewen together into a beautiful afghan, made with love & prayers and delivered to her.. Thanks for the chance to win the lovely bunting pattern!

I like these. I am a beginner–probably getting ahead of myself in what I am attempting. I am making a throw sold by Mary Maxim called "Grace Throw". The pattern had a few mistakes, but Mary Maxim helped me out through a tough spot where the pattern did not give me a clue. I would like to post the throw, but I don't have a camera–not since Hurricane Sandy.

Oh, I love the Newsboy hat, but when I tried to make it, my stitch count was more than you said it should be. I even used markers on it so I would not make any mistakes; but I still did.

I've never heard of bunting. How does one use it?

A bunting is usually used for decorating, especially for parties. We made a bunting for an Independence Day party. It was red, white, and blue.

My daughter crocheted a whole bunch of flowers. She didn't know what to do with them, so she strung them together into a bunting and hung it on the curtain rod in the baby's room. It is very sweet.

Buntings can be made out of anything–paper, plastic, crochet. They are often hung from the ceiling or from tables. I usually think of flags when I think of a bunting, but they can be made out of any color scheme like the lovely one Olivia made.
