Tuning in to watch the royal weddings on tv is always a memorable occasion, so when LoveCrochet suggested collaborating on a ‘royal’ themed pattern, I immediately knew that I wanted to pull out some pastel yarns and create a pair of dainty princess baby booties!

The timing is spot on, as Princess Charlotte of Cambridge is just about to celebrate her very first birthday. Working on these itty bitty mary janes was an absolute delight, and the little crowns add just the right amount of charm and whimsy to this design…

I can't get the pdf file of this download off lovecrochet.com to work. Only non pdf capable programs attempt to open it but then do not work of course. I'd love to still get this pattern. I have so many little girls in my life and some are truly in need of things like booties, blankets, clothing, hats etc. Hopefully the file can be fixed on their site or you will post the entire pattern. Please!? I hope to hear back from you soon. Thank you.

Oh! Great! Although simple but very beautiful! I believe my daughter (son) will not be able to refuse items made by my own hands! Thanks for your post!

Hi. Thank you for this lovely shoes. I love it and want to make them for my niece but I’m not sure if I’m working right with the round 3 of the sole. The patt says : ( *2 hdc in next st. 1 hdc in next st. Repeat from the * 3 times. ) but I only work it 1 time and the sts are 46. Did I work it wrong? Sorry for my English . 😅
