Who else here remembers exciting trips to the local circus as a child? *raises hand* What could ever be more fun that seeing clowns trip over their own feet, the smell of butter-y popcorn filling a massive tent, and of course (my personal favourite) the trapeze acts!

Having children is just as much of a thrilling experience, so why not add some colour to the adventure?.. Saying that, is just one pair of colourful booties ever enough? Why not also create an adorable pair of owl booties or a vibrant pair of watermelon booties?

If one doesn't have a pom pom maker, can they be made by hand the old fashioned way?

Hi Judy! Yes, indeed you can make them the old fashioned way 🙂 I personally just prefer using pompom makers as the pompoms always turn out fuller and fluffier.

Very easy and came out right; however, mine came out rather large even though I was doing the newborn size, so just warning folks. Note that where given an instruction between asterisks and then told to repeat it twice, it means for a total of 2 times; do not do it and then repeat it twice or you’ll have done it 3 times and be in trouble. Maybe folks know this, but I didn’t and it wasted a lot of time to rip and do again. It also helped me tremendously to have row markers where you begin each row.

I “LOVE” the beautiful Circus Lollipop booties and thank you for the free pattern! I can’t seem to locate the yarn – 80yds [90yds] Drops “Muskat” (109yds/50g). Kindly let me know what ply it is and the material, i.e., cotton, etc. Any ideas where I can find it or possible substitutions? Thank you so much! I can’t wait to get started!

your instructions for the rows confusing. Why not write row one than row 2 etc. you slide all the rows together without an explanation. Poorly written.
