Baby Santa Claus Pompom Hat – Free Crochet Pattern

Today I’m so excited to be sharing this super fun and easy holiday project for a crocheted Santa Claus pompom hat over at LoveCrochet! It works up in less than an hour (which is perfect during this extremely busy time of year), and would look adorable in all the holiday photos this season as baby celebrates his/her first Christmas!



What You’ll Need

12.00mm Crochet Hook
Chunky Yarn (12ply) – I used King Cole Comfort Chunky
Tapestry/Wool Needle
Size Available 

Newborn, 0 – 3 Months Old
(Head Circumference 13.5″, 34cm. Hat Height 5.5″, 14cm)
3 – 6 Months Old
(Head Circumference 14.5″, 37cm. Hat Height 6″, 15cm)
9 – 12 Months Old
(Head Circumference 15.5″, 39cm. Hat Height 6.25″, 16cm)

    So sweet. They didn't have patterns like this when my kids were that tiny. Just the old, usual standby that made all babies look alike.

    Thank you so much for the pattern, however, I'm having a hard time deciphering the count. On rnd 3 there's 20 stitches at the end. Then rnds 4-8 have zero stitches added and at the end it says there's 56. I'm not sure how this came about. Can you explain where the error is?
