Minnie Mouse Inspired Baby Booties Crochet Pattern

I feel that Disney has become such a part of our childhood, that we can't help but think of Mickey and Minnie when we see a pair of circular black ears.
They are such an iconic (and adorable) couple, that you can't help but fall in love with them every time you see them!



Materials
3.50mm Crochet Hook
8ply Yarn (DK) - Patons Cotton Blend
Tapestry/Yarn Needle
Scissors

Sole
Taking your 3.50mm crochet hook and DK flamingo pink yarn, start of by making a Slip Knot, then crochet 11 Chains.
Round 1~ Crochet 2 Half Double Crochets into the second chain from your hook. Crochet 1 Half Double Crochet into the next 8 chains. Crochet 6 Half Double Crochets into the last chain. {Note: You are now going to be working on the opposite side of foundation chain.} Crochet 1 Half Double Crochet into the next 8 stitches. Crochet 2 Half Double Crochets into the last stitch. You should have 26 stitches now. Do not slip stitch into the first half double crochet of this round.
Round 2~ Start crocheting in the first stitch from the previous round. Crochet 2 Half Double Crochets in the next 2 stitches. Crochet 1 Half Double Crochet into the next 8 stitches. Crochet 2 Double Crochets in the next 6 stitches. Crochet 1 Half Double Crochet into the next 8 stitches. Crochet 2 Half Double Crochets in the next 2 stitches. You should have 36 stitches now. Do not slip stitch into the first half double crochet of this round.
Round 3~ Start crocheting in the first stitch from the previous round. Crochet 1 Half Double Crochet in the next 2 stitches. Crochet 2 Half Double Crochets in the next 3 stitches. Crochet 1 Half Double Crochet in the next 5 stitches. Crochet 1 Double Crochet in the next 3 stitches. *Crochet 2 Double Crochets in the next stitch. Crochet 1 Double Crochet in the next stitch. Repeat from the * 6 times. Crochet 1 Double Crochet in the next 3 stitches. Crochet 1 Half Double Crochet in the next 5 stitches. Crochet 2 Half Double Crochets in the next 2 stitches. Crochet 1 Half Double Crochet and 1 Single Crochet in the next stitch. Slip Stitch into the first stitch of this round. You should have 48 stitches now.
Fasten off, and weave in loose ends.


Top Of Shoe
Round 1~ Attach your flamingo pink yarn right in the middle of the heel. Chain 1, crochet 1 Single Crochet into the same stitch, but only through the back loop. {Note: Continue crocheting the stitches in this round, only in the back loop.} Crochet 1 Single Crochet in the next 47 stitches. Do not slip stitch into the first single crochet of this round.
Round 2 ~ Start crocheting in the first stitch from the previous round. Crochet 1 Single Crochet in every stitch all around. Do not slip stitch into the first single crochet of this round.
Round 3~ Change yarn colour to black. Start crocheting in the first stitch from the previous round. Crochet 1 Single Crochet in every stitch all around. {Note: Crochet every stitch in this round only in the back loop.} Do not slip stitch into the first single crochet of this round.
Round 4~ Start crocheting in the first stitch from the previous round. Crochet 1 Single Crochet in the next 14 stitches. *Crochet 1 Single Crochet Decrease. Crochet 1 Single Crochet in the next stitch. Repeat from the * 7 times. Crochet 1 Single Crochet in the next 13 stitches. Do not slip stitch into the first single crochet of this round. You should have 41 stitches now.
Round 5~ Start crocheting in the first stitch from the previous round. Crochet 1 Single Crochet in the first stitch. Crochet 1 Single Crochet Decrease. Crochet 1 Single Crochet in the next 10 stitches.  *Crochet 1 Single Crochet Decrease. Crochet 1 Single Crochet in the next stitch. Repeat from the * 5 times. Crochet 1 Single Crochet in the next 10 stitches. Crochet 1 Single Crochet Decrease. Crochet 1 Single Crochet in the next stitch. Do not slip stitch into the first single crochet of this round. You should have 34 stitches now.
Round 6~ Start crocheting in the first stitch from the previous round. Crochet 1 Single Crochet in the next 11 stitches. Crochet 2 Half Double Crochet Decreases. Crochet 2 Double Crochet Decreases. Crochet 2 Half Double Crochet Decreases. Crochet 1 Single Crochet in the next 11 stitches. Do not slip stitch into the first single crochet of this round. You should have 28 stitches now.
Round 7~ Start crocheting in the first stitch from the previous round. Crochet 1 Single Crochet in every stitch all around. Slip Stitch into the first stitch of this round.
Fasten off, and weave in loose ends.
Repeat pattern to make a pair.
 
Ruffle Skirt
Taking your 3.50mm crochet hook and DK flamingo pink yarn, start of by making a Slip Knot and attaching your yarn to the back of the bootie. {Note: You want to attach it through the front loop you didn't crochet into in round 3 of the bootie pattern.}
Chain 2, then crochet 2 Half Double Crochets in the same front loop. *Crochet 4 Half Double Crochets in the next front loop. Crochet 3 Half Double Crochets in the next front loop. Repeat from the * all around. In the last front loop, crochet 2 Half Double Crochets then Chain 2 and Slip Stitch down into the same front loop.
Fasten off, and weave in loose ends.
Repeat ruffle skirt pattern on other baby bootie.


Ears
Round 1~ Taking your 3.50mm crochet hook and DK black yarn, start of by making a Slip Knot, then crochet 2 Chains. Crochet 6 Single Crochets into the first chain you made. Do not slip stitch into the first single crochet of this round. You should have 6 stitches now.
Round 2~ Start crocheting in the first stitch from the previous round. Crochet 2 Single Crochets in the first stitch. Crochet 2 Single Crochets into every stitch all around. Do not slip stitch into the first single crochet of this round. You should have 12 stitches now.
Round 3~ Start crocheting in the first stitch from the previous round. Crochet 2 Single Crochets into the first stitch. *Crochet 1 Single Crochet into the next stitch. Crochet 2 Single Crochets into the next stitch. Repeat from the * all around. Slip Stitch into the first stitch of this round. You should have 18 stitches now.
Fasten off, and weave in loose ends.
Repeat pattern 4 times to make 2 pairs of ears.
Taking your tapestry needle, sew 2 ears onto the front of each bootie, towards the top.

Bow
Taking your 3.50mm crochet hook and DK flamingo pink yarn, start of by making a Slip Knot, then crochet 5 Chains.
Round 1~ Crochet 3 Triple Crochets into the fifth chain from your hook. Chain 4, then Slip Stitch down into the 5th chain. Chain 4. Crochet 3 Triple Crochets into the 5th chain again. Chain 4, then Slip Stitch down into the 5th chain again. 
Fasten off, leaving an 8 inch tail of yarn. Now wrap the tail of yarn around the center of the bow 6-7 times.
Repeat pattern twice.
Taking your tapestry needle and some white yarn, stitch 6 polka dots onto each bow. 
Now sew 1 bow onto the top of each bootie, right in front of the ears.
