Adorable! I was wondering what brand of yarn you use for this pattern and the mickey mouse patterns, I know it says 60 g DK (8 ply) but when I look for that specifically I have a hard time finding it.

I have made this hat many times for baby shower gifts. I normally make it in a pastel rust color or peach color. I love how fast this hat works up. Sometimes i will just make a bunch up to keep on hand for baby showers. Everyone I have given it to just loves it!

This is a lovely hat but lacks crucial details in the directions. The body of the hat was doable with given directions only because I'm an experienced crocheter. The stem doesn't work. I had to invent my own stem completely. I am not going to include directions that work because only the newborn size is free and I'm not going to add free corrections when not all sizes corrected would be free. I love the projects on your site but won't buy any directions because these were so below par. If you're selling directions, not product, those directions better be first rate!

If you are an expert then you should not be looking for someone else's pattern and you should start creating your own pattern. And if you don't like it, don't do it. She is awesome and all her pattern work perfectly.

I am also an experienced crocheter but don’t like to invent my own patterns..directions were a little confusing. Not written according to American standards.

    Hello,
Do you allow people to sell items that they have made with your patterns?
I'm going to be at a craft fair this fall and would love to sell some of your hats but wanted to double check first!

    Thank you!

I've been asked to replicate this hat in a bigger size. I was thinking it should be easy enough to make the chain longer and add more rows but was wondering if you have suggestions on how to make that work at the top/stem of the pumpkin? My thought is to start with more than the 20 stitches and add a few more rounds of decreases but I'm not sure.
    Thanks,
    Kelly

Im confused with Row 4. Does that mean repeat 2-3 32 times?
    Thank you!

You’ll repeat row 2 and 3 alternately, doing row 2 fifteen times and row 3 fourteen times. Row 32 will be a row 2 repeat.

I used this newborn pumpkin hat pattern to make a tiny garland. I used crochet cotton thread and strung several of them on hemp. Came out sweet. Thank you Olivia for all your free patterns and tutorials.

    Hello! Thanks for this tutorial.
I'm going to try to make it for my 5 months baby. I've found only one kind of yarn, wich is 100g/250m,I think it's slightly thinner than yours… do you think I can try or do I have to double it??

Sweet little hat! I used a 2.5mms hook and made it to fit a crocheted doll made for the Feel Better Friend charity. This doll is for a little girl with Downs Syndrome. I.love when I can find free patterns that I can adapt to work on my mini's. I used Knit Picks Brava sport yarn.

In my opinion, this is the best pumpkin hat pattern out there. I just crocheted it for my one month old grandson. It is beyond perfect and super easy. Pattern extremely well written, and I will make adjustments for am larger size for someone else. Love it! Thank you very much for the pattern.

What brand of yarn do you suggest for this pattern? I have been having trouble finding DK here. As My kids and make things to donate, I’m hoping to find something economical (a comparable brand at Hobby Lobby or Michael’s). I love your patterns. And this hat will be a huge hit in the nursery at our hospital this Fall!

I loved making this for my soon to be born grandson. I just like the pattern and would like to make myself one in an adult size and maybe add a pompom. Any idea on how many chains and rows or should I just measure it to my head as I am going? Thanks for you help.

Beautiful Hat, shame about the pattern instructions. I find this pattern really difficult to follow as itโ€™s missing certain information which helps to keep you on track- like end of row count and generally more detail. Such a shame,

Thank you for the lovely pattern! It worked out perfectly! To increase the size of the hat, I just increased my hook size. No complaints here!
