If you follow me on Facebook, you’ve probably realized I’ve acquired a new obsession… Scrapbooking! I love being able to create beautiful pages that will eventually fill my book of very special memories.
And what makes it even more enjoyable, is getting to share the experience with my younger sister, and a lovely friend. For about 2 weeks now we’ve been having regular scrapbooking days, and I can’t wait to do more!
I’m attempting to keep a sort of dainty, French theme throughout my book, but I’m not sure how long that determination will last!
So with all this ‘dainty’ inspiration floating around, it should come as no surprise that I’ve also created a dainty scalloped ear warmer pattern!

What You’ll Need
5.00mm Crochet Hook
50g 8ply Yarn
Scissors
Tapestry/Wool Needle

Finished Size
This headband fits all sizes
{Easily adjustable, as explained in pattern}

Start of by taking your 5.00mm crochet hook and making a Slip Knot, then crochet 76 Chains. {Note: You can easily adjust this headband for a child by only chaining 60 chains, or 50 chains for a baby.}
Row 1~ Chain 3, skip one stitch, then Half Double Crochet into the following stitch (5th Chain). *Chain 1, skip one stitch, then
crochet a Half Double Crochet into the next stitch.* Repeat from the
* mark all across, making sure to end with a Half Double Crochet into
the last chain.
Row 2~ Chain 2, then Half Double Crochet into the chain
one space you made in the previous row. *Chain 1, skip one stitch, then crochet a Half Double Crochet into the next chain one space.* Repeat from the* mark all
across, making sure to end with a Half Double Crochet into the top of
the 3 chains you made in the previous row.

Row 3 – 7~ Chain 2, then Half Double Crochet into the chain one space. *Chain 1, skip one stitch,
then crochet a Half Double Crochet into the next chain one space.*
Repeat from the* mark all across, making sure to end with a Half Double Crochet into the top of the 2 chains you made in the previous
row. {Note: If you’re adjusting this headband for a child or baby, only do rows 3 – 5}

Once you’ve completed all the rows, Chain 1. Then Single Crochet all around your ear warmer.
When you reach the corners, Single Crochet, Chain 1, then Single Crochet into the same stitch.

~ Scalloped Edging ~

Start of by attaching your yarn to the first stitch along the length of your ear warmer.
Row 1~ Chain 1. Single Crochet into the same stitch. Then skip one stitch before crocheting 5 Double Crochets into the following stitch. Skip a stitch, then crochet a Single Crochet. *Skip one stitch before crocheting 5 Double Crochets. Skip a stitch, then crochet a Single Crochet. Repeat from the * mark all across, making sure to end with a Single Crochet.
Fasten off, and weave in loose ends.
Repeat full scalloped edging pattern on the other side of the ear warmer.

When you’ve completed all the rows, connect the two ends of the band together to create a circle and Slip Stitch
them together. Once
the band is slip stitched together fold the slip stitched part towards
the inside.
Fasten off, and weave in loose ends.

Hope you all enjoyed this adorable little ear warmer pattern!

If you did crochet this, please post a photo of your creation onto my Facebook Page.
I’d love to see it!
Have a lovely day crocheting!
