I have a question regarding the yarn (sorry, but I'm a crocheting newbie.) Your pattern says it calls for 8 ply yarn, and I'm having trouble figuring out which yarn to buy. I asked for help in the store and the saleslady didn't know which type that meant either. Please help!

      Hi Christine!
Sorry you were confused! Here is a link to a wikipedia page all about yarn weights, and their equivalents 🙂 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yarn_weight

I love the scarf and the cowl. How would I make the cowl a little longer?
