Tickled Pink ~ Multi Layered Flower Pattern

I made this flower with a particular beanie in mind. I thought the lovely dusty pink would compliment the white baby beanie, which would be perfect for any little baby girl!

  
What You'll Need:
7.00 Crochet Hook
4.50 Crochet Hook
8ply Yarn
Wool/Tapestry Needle
Scissors

Extra Large Flower:
Round 1~ Start by making a Slip Knot with your 7.00 Crochet Hook, then Chain 4. Slip Stitch into the first chain you made (this creates a circle), then chain up 2. *Crochet 1 Double Crochet into the circle, chain 1. Repeat from the * 5 times. Slip stitch into the top of chain 2.

Round 2~ Chain up 2, then double crochet into the same stitch. Crochet 2 double crochets into every stitch and chain all the way around. Join together with a slip stitch into the top of chain 2.

Round 3~ Chain up 2, then double crochet into the same stitch. Crochet 1 double crochet into the next stitch. *Crochet 2 double crochets into the next stitch. Then crochet 1 double crochet into the next 2 stitches. Repeat from the * all around. Join together with a slip stitch into the top of chain 2.

Round 4~ Chain up 1. *Single Crochet into the next stitch. Double crochet into the same stitch. In the next stitch crochet 2 double crochets. Crochet 3 Triple/Treble Crochets in the next stitch. Then crochet 2 double crochets into the next stitch. Crochet 1 double crochet in the next stitch, and crochet a single crochet into the same stitch. Repeat from the * all around. Join together with a slip stitch into the top of chain 2.
Fasten off, and weave in ends.


Large Flower:
Round 1~ Start by making a Slip Knot with your 4.50 Crochet Hook, then Chain 4. Slip Stitch into the first chain you made (this creates a circle), then chain up 2. *Crochet 1 Double Crochet into the circle, chain 1. Repeat from the * 5 times. Slip stitch into the top of chain 2.

Round 2~ Chain up 2, then double crochet into the same stitch. Crochet 2 double crochets into every stitch and chain all the way around. Join together with a slip stitch into the top of chain 2.


Round 3~ Chain up 2, then double crochet into the same stitch. Crochet 1 double crochet into the next stitch. *Crochet 2 double crochets into the next stitch. Then crochet 1 double crochet into the next 2 stitches. Repeat from the * all around. Join together with a slip stitch into the top of chain 2.


Round 4~ Chain up 1. *Single Crochet into the next stitch. Double crochet into the same stitch. In the next stitch crochet 2 double crochets. Crochet 3 Triple/Treble Crochets in the next stitch. Then crochet 2 double crochets into the next stitch. Crochet 1 double crochet in the next stitch, and crochet a single crochet into the same stitch. Repeat from the * all around. Join together with a slip stitch into the top of chain 2.

Medium Flower:
Round 1~ Start by making a Slip Knot with your 4.50 Crochet Hook, then Chain 4. Slip Stitch into the first chain you made (this creates a circle), then chain up 2. *Crochet 1 Double Crochet into the circle, chain 1. Repeat from the * 5 times. Slip stitch into the top of chain 2.

Round 2~ Chain up 2, then double crochet into the same stitch. Crochet 2 double crochets into every stitch and chain all the way around. Join together with a slip stitch into the top of chain 2.

Round 3~ Chain up 1.  *Single Crochet into the next stitch. Double crochet into the same stitch. Crochet 1 Double Crochet into the next stitch, then crochet a Triple/Treble Crochet into the same stitch, then crochet a double crochet. Crochet 1 double crochet in the next stitch, and crochet a single crochet into the same stitch. Repeat from the * all around. Join together with a slip stitch into the top of chain 1.
Fasten off, and weave in ends.

Small Flower:
Round 1~ Start by making a Slip Knot with your 4.50 Crochet Hook, then Chain 4. Slip Stitch into the first chain you made (this creates a circle), then chain up 2. Crochet 14 Double Crochets into the circle. Join together with a slip stitch into the top of chain 2.
Round 2~ Chain up 2. *Crochet 1 double crochet into the same stitch. Crochet 3 double crochets into the next stitch. Then crochet 1 double crochet in the next stitch. Chain 2 and Slip Stitch into that same stitch. Then slip stitch into the next stitch and chain up 2. Repeat from the * all around.
Fasten off and weave in ends.


After you've weaved in all the ends, all you do is take your wool/tapestry needle and sew the four layers of the flower together, and you're done! :)

  3. Hi Olivia, what does "chain all the way around" means?


    Round 2~ Chain up 2, then double crochet into the same stitch. Crochet 2 double crochets into every stitch and chain all the way around. Join together with a slip stitch into the top of chain 2.

      What I mean is that you need to do a double crochet 'Into' every single stitch on that round OR every single chain :) Hope this helps!

  4. Thanks for the great patterns! I'm a little confused with the instructions for the medium flower. Round 3, after the triple crochet does the next double crochet go into the same stitch as the triple crochet or the next stitch?
