A love for travelling is one thing I’d like to cling onto for the rest of my life… Exploring secluded towns and beaches close by, or flying across the ocean to visit some far-off country, either option always leaves me feeling reinvigorated and ready to embark on a new stage of my life.

Whilst wandering throughout New Zealand some years ago, I came across fields upon fields of lupins, blooming in the most beautiful and vibrant pinks, blues and purples. They quickly became my new favourite flower, and have remained so till this day!

Recently some lovely skeins of Berroco yarn arrived at my doorstep, and when I opened the parcel and spied this shades I knew I had to invest into creating a stitch tutorial reminiscent of my time spent dancing through a fragrant fields of lupins.

The Silt Stitch is a whimsical stitch, featuring a unique texture and design… Perfect for when crocheting those cosy sweaters, scarves and chunky afghans, as this stitch quickly works up into a delightfully sturdy fabric.

Learning a new crochet stitch or technique is always such fun, don’t you agree? If you’re keen to challenge yourself this weekend, you’re in luck as this helpful step-by-step video tutorial will guide you through all the necessary steps needed to learn the “Silt Stitch“; In an easy to follow speed!
