St Patricks Day Shamrock Baby Booties – Free Crochet Pattern
Although I’m not Irish, for the last 10 years St Patricks Day has held a special place in my heart as my baby sister was born on that iconic Irish holiday!
She has been a constant reminder to me of what positivity and love looks like, and that we create our own luck using those tools!.. Who needs a four leaf clover when you have someone like that in your life?
If you’re already gearing up to crochet some other items for the upcoming holidays, you could always try crocheting a newborn bunny hat (for baby’s first Easter!), or, if you’re really ahead on your crochet projects for the year you could also crochet an adorable pair of Santa baby ankle booties!

These are great! My family is mostly Irish (at least that is the only background we claim) and I'm going to make a pair for my two nieces or nephews that are on the way. They'll be great for any time of the year. My daughter made some like this following your frog booties directions but your clovers turned out really lovely.

This is so cute! I kind of wish the clovers were there own little pattern so I could make them for a blanket I'm doing! (My cousin's college's mascot is a leprechaun!)

These are so utterly adorable, I just had to include them (as my favourite) in the round up of St Patrick’s Day crochet projects I just posted on Stashing Yarn.

Dear Olivia, I have been enjoying your blog, your tutorials & your patterns very much! I need to point out one thing in regards to your ST PATRICKS DAY SHAMROCK BABY BOOTIES. I was raised as Irish Catholic so please excuse me for being a wee bit pedantic! A 4 leaf clover is considered by some to be very lucky. A shamrock however is a clover like plant with three-lobed leaves representing in catholicism The Father, The Son and The Holy Ghost & is used as the national emblem of Ireland.
My niece is due with her 1st child in November, my sister’s 1st Grandbaby I do plan on making these booties for the child so Thank you for your pattern!
