Crocheted Christmas Baubles – Pattern

Since I’m going on holiday in December, I’ve been buying all my Christmas presents early which has really put me in the Christmas-y mood!
So for the past 2 weeks now, I’ve been singing Christmas carols while crocheting Christmas decorations… If you can’t tell yet, I love this time of year!
I think the reason I love it so much is that I get to spend it with friends and family, think of thoughtful gifts and ways to remind them just how much I love them and be able to randomly burst out in song without someone giving me the slightest hint of a “Why is she so weird?” stare!
What’s your favourite part about Christmas?

Have a lovely day crocheting,
Very nice hat. I might make one for myself. The day after Thanksgiving we decorate the trees–upstairs and downstairs. We play music, dance, drink a few hot toddies, and have a good time. My son sets up the video recorder so we have recorded memories.
That sounds like a wonderful tradition! š
Hi,
I'm having trouble with your bauble crochet pattern. When I do 5 single crochets into the 1st chain of the "2 chain" beginning and then slip stitch into the 2nd chain of the "2 chain" beginning I have 5 single crochets, not 6 as it states in your pattern. Are you counting the slip stitch? Then on round 2 you say to chain 1 and single crochet into the same stitch. Do you mean the 2nd chain of the "2 chain" beginning? If I do this and then single crochet 2 stitches in each stitch from the row below I end up with an odd number of stitches, unless the 1st single crochet done in this round is actually one of the 6 you mean we should have in the first round. Can you please help me understand?
I was thinking of trying a magic loop instead and making my first round with 6 single crochets, but I do not know if it would affect the rest of the pattern as I do not understand what you were trying to achieve.
I really like these patterns, they are beautiful! Thank you for your time.
