Bouquet of Flowers ~ Crochet Flower Tutorial

Ahhh Mother’s Day! It’s probably the best day of the year because you get to spoil your mother non stop!.. but when you think about it though, shouldn’t we spoil the women that gave us the gift of life, everyday? 🙂
I Love my mum so very very much! Like my younger sister says, “She’s my sunshine” So to treat her on this mother’s day, I went out and cut the most beautiful roses in our garden for her to make her a big bouquet! She of course loved them!
So seeing as most of us have been buying, picking and giving flowers over the last two days, I thought I would do a new crochet flower tutorial!

Materials:
4.50 Crochet Hook
3 Types of 8ply Wool
Scissors
Tapestry or Wool Needle

Instructions:
Start by making a Slip Knot then chain 3 Chain Stitches. Crochet 9 Half Double Crochets into the third chain from your crochet hook. Join with a Slip Stitch into the top of the previous chains you made. This counts as the first half double crochet.
Change colour then chain 2. Crochet a half double crochet into the same stitch. *Chain one then crochet 2 half double crochets into the next stitch. Repeat from * all the way around. Join together with a slip stitch.
Change colour again. *Chain 2 then skip 2 stitches and slip stitch into that stitch. This creates a small loop. Repeat from * all the way around. Slip stitch into last stitch.
Stay the same colour. *Chain 3 then crochet 3 Double Crochets into the small loop you created before. Chain 3 and slip stitch into the loop. Slip stitch into the next loop. Repeat from * all the way around. Slip stitch into last stitch.
Change back to your first colour, then single crochet all the way around your flower, join together with a slip stitch.
Weave in ends.

I love the flower, but I am truly touch by your love for your Mother and God. You are very creative and truly blessed. Continue to follow God and give Him the glory in all you do in life and you will never go wrong.
Your Mother has raised an amazing lady. Not very many of them around now days, just wanted you to know.
And thanks for sharing the pattern. Such a bright and cheerful flower.
