A stitch that I’ve recently become obsessed with is the Double Crochet V Stitch… It’s such a simple yet pretty stitch which makes it extremely easy to work into almost any design.
The Double Crochet V Stitch looks great when featured in most crochet projects where vibrant colours are fun to incorporate… Such as multicoloured scarves and eye-catching blankets!

today we're learning cat roche the double crochet v-stitch to begin chain
0:07multiples of 2 let's move under one shall we begin
0:11chained to this counts as the first double crochet then you want to skip
0:16three chains and in that fourth chain want to crochet 2 double crochets yarn
0:22over insert hook yarn over pull back through three loops on your hook yarn
0:27over pull through two loops 2 loops left hook yarn over and pull through those
0:32last two loops perfect you want to crochet another double crochet into that
0:38same stitch this will create a set of two double crochets perfect now skip one
0:45chain and in that next chain stitch you want to crochet another two double
0:51crochets you're not familiar with the double crochet stitch have been easy

1:02crochet perfect
1:06so you want to continue skipping one chain and the crochet 2 double crochets
1:11in the next stitch all the way across to reach the end of the row once you reach

1:35optional perfect now let's move onto road to shall we begin
1:43chain 2 and 12 the count as your first double crochet and turn your works you
1:50crocheting in the opposite direction and I don't want to crochet 2 double
1:54crochets in between that set of 2 double crochets from the previous row so that's
2:00one double crochet double crochet then you want to share another double crochet
2:09in that same space
2:11this will create that v-stitch look perfect
2:17now you want to crochet another two double crochets in that next set and
2:22mean between the next set as well all the way across to you reach the end of
2:26this row once you reach the end of this road you want to crochet a double
2:32crochet into the top of that chain too
2:41i also changed colors on this last stitch back to purple perfect let's move
2:50on to Row 3 shall we begin
2:52chain 2 so 1 2 in turn your works your crochet in the opposite direction
2:59perfect now crochet 2 double crochets once again in between that set of 2
3:06double crochets from the previous row so that's the first double crochet they
3:13know when to crochet and now the double crochet perfect want to continue
3:22crocheting two double crochets in between each set of double crochets all
3:26the way across to the end of the road once you reach the end of the road you
3:31want to crochet a double crochet into the top of that chain too
3:43i also changed colors back to mint on this last stitch once again that's
3:48completely optional perfect
3:55so you want to continue repeating rows 2 and 3 to you Richard desired length this

Your pattern for this V Stitch is perfect for the baby blanket I am making my son and his wife. The poncho I made with this V Stitch had a chain 1 between th double crochets but yours looks so much better for the cold Michigan months ahead. Thank you.
