Cabled Throw Cushion Cover - Free Crochet Pattern


Something that I feel you can never have enough of is decorative cushions... I'm actually so fond of them that if I had my way I would add a dozen to every bed or sofa! 

I was quite shocked the other day to discover I had never crocheted a cushion cover (due to my undying love for them), so I quickly grabbed my selection of hooks and searched for the perfect yarn to use to crochet this lovely cabled throw cushion cover you see above!

Now if your home needs to be embellished with even more crochet goodness, I'd suggest trying your hand at either my Woodland Moss Chunky Basket or even my Vintage Candy Shop Bunting pattern!



What You'll Need
8.00mm (L) Crochet Hook
480yds Super Chunky Yarn (14ply) - I used Phildar Rapido (Beige)
3 Wooden Buttons (2" x 2")
Tapestry Needle

This cushion cover fits a standard throw cushion.
Cushion Cover Dimensions
18” (46cm) x 18” (46cm)

Gauge
7 rows & 6 stitches in sc  = 2 Inches

hdc - half double crochet

  4. A quick question about the amount of yarn needed: Your pattern says 480 yards but that seems excessive to me. Can you confirm how many skeins of the Phildar Rapido you used for this pattern?
