How To: The Magic Knot (Yarn Join) – Easy Tutorial

The Magic Knot can either be used for changing colours, or for connecting the same colour  together for when you need to change to a new skein.

It’s a fairly simple technique to learn, but it is beyond helpful when you’re crocheting (or even knitting) a large or very colourful pattern as then you don’t have to continually sew in yarn ends to achieve a neat project!

If you’d like to learn how to create the “The Magic Knot“, this helpful video will guide you through all the steps as you continue on your ever-growing crochet journey!

What are some other crochet techniques you’d like to learn?

I’m always open to new ideas and inspiration when it comes to sharing
crochet with the world!

I've tried so many different ways of making inconspicuous knots and haven't been happy with any of them. Until now, that is! I'm going to try this at home tonight and will never be afraid of color changes unraveling again!

Hey, that's cool. It looks a lot more simple than the Russian Join.

I started using that early on in my crocheting. I learned this knot in Girl Scouts and it was called a Fishermen's Knot!!
