The second crochet pattern I ever published on this blog featured the well known “Puff Stitch“, which overtime has become one of my most used stitches to date due to it’s versatility and lovely texture!
Saying that, I think it’s just as fun to create mini puffs which is exactly what you can do when you use a certain technique to combine two single crochets together, the “Double Single Crochet“.

Even if you’ve only ever crocheted the most basic of crochet stitches, the Double Single Crochet is so incredibly easy to learn, and would be a great addition to your library of crochet stitches!

If you’d like to learn how to create the “Double Single Crochet Stitch (Mini Puffs)”, this helpful video will guide you through all the steps as you continue on your ever-growing crochet journey!

What are some other crochet stitches you’d like to learn?
I’m always open to new ideas and inspiration when it comes to sharing
crochet with the world!

Can you use this to make a basket?

Yes. Follow any SC St. pattern for a basket and substitute this st. The basket should be even sturdier than the original as it’s thicker.

Hi. Will you be adding more Stitch Patterns? [Patterns / textures that can be made by mixing the 4 basic stitches.] These are all from 2015. Smiles
