Basic Capelet Crochet Pattern

You know how there's usually that one friend in the group that always complains about the cold, and can't help but wear 30 layers during winter?.. Well, I'm that friend.
And the sad thing is, it doesn't even get that cold (or snow) where I live! Some of my friends will be casually walking around without a jacket, and I'll be there dressed as an eskimo.

So if you're constantly dreading the cold too, trust me when I say that this capelet will help keep you warm and toasty even on the coldest days!

What is the size around for this & where in the pattern would you repeat an increase a few times to make it fit me, as I am pretty sure that I'm bigger around than you are.

    Thank you!

    1. Hello Leanne,

This capelet fits US sizes 4 - 6.
If you add 1 extra increase (2 hdc's in one stitch) on every row that has increases, it should fit a US size 8 - 10. However, since I haven't increased it in that way myself, I'm not 100% sure it will turn out exactly the same.
      Hope this helps!

  3. Would you show pattern increase for different sizes up to XXL?

    1. Hello,

I would LOVE to, but I created this for a friend of mine, and no longer have the item.
In the above comment I explained a way to make the capelet fit a US size 8 - 10, but unfortunately I'm not sure how to make it any larger, whilst making sure the capelet retains its shape.
Wish I could have helped more!
