How To: Crochet A Scalloped Edging
What You’ll Need
To create this sampler, take your yarn and 6.00mm crochet hook, and start of by making a Slip Knot. Then crochet 13 Chains. {Note: For every scallop you’d like to add, crochet an extra 4 chains/stitches.}
Row 1~ Chain 2.
Crochet 1 Half Double Crochet into the fourth chain from your hook.
Then crochet 1 Half Double Crochet into every chain across. You should
have 13 half double crochets now.
Row 2 – 3~ Chain 2. Crochet 1 Half Double Crochet into every stitch across.
Row 1~ Chain 1. Single Crochet into the same stitch. Then skip one stitch before crocheting 5 Double Crochets into the following stitch. Skip a stitch, then crochet a Single Crochet. *Skip one stitch before crocheting 5 Double Crochets. Skip a stitch, then crochet a Single Crochet. Repeat from the * mark all across, making sure to end with a Single Crochet.
Fasten off, and weave in loose ends.

I Love this! I am wondering would you suggest doing this border seperatly and then join it on a blanket, or would you suggest simply doing it on the blanket?
Olivia Kent says
I would crochet it directly on the blanket 🙂
