Striped Christmas Phone Case Crochet Pattern

Last night, a good friend of mine came over to pick out some colours for a phone case I'm busy making for her to give too her grandma as a Christmas gift.
As I was crocheting it, I thought, "Why not put the pattern on my blog?".
Seeing as the 25th is just around the corner, this would make an ideal Christmas gift as it is such a cute and quick DIY!
Hope you guys enjoy the pattern!

What You'll Need
5.00mm Crochet Hook
  3 Colours of 30g DK Yarn {8ply}
Scissors
Tapestry/Wool Needle

Finished Size:
Fits a phone that is 12cm (4.7 inches) in height, and 6cm (2.35 inches) wide.
{Note: This case should fit most iPhones, but can be easily adjusted as I explain below}

~ Case ~

Start of by taking your red yarn and 5.00mm crochet hook and make a Slip Knot, then crochet 8 Chains. Note: If your phone is wider or smaller than 6cm (2.35 inches) you'll need to crochet a row of chains as long as the bottom of your phone instead.
Row 1~ Chain 1, then Single Crochet into the following stitch. Continue crocheting Single Crochet all across, making sure to end with 3 Single Crochet into the last chain. The extra 2 single crochets will turn your work around, and upside down. Now you're going to continue crocheting Single Crochet into the bottom of the row of chains, making sure to end with 2 single crochets in the last chain. Slip Stitch into the chain you made at the start of this row.
Row 2 - 4Chain 1, then Single Crochet into every stitch. Slip Stitch into the top of chain 1.
Row 5 - 6~ Change yarn colour to white. Chain 1, then Single Crochet into every stitch. Slip Stitch into the top of chain 1.
Row 7 - 10~ Change yarn colour to green. Chain 1, then Single Crochet into every stitch. Slip Stitch into the top of chain 1.
Row 11~ Change yarn colour to white. Chain 1, then Single Crochet into every stitch. Slip Stitch into the top of chain 1.
Row 12 - 13~ Change yarn colour to red. Chain 1, then Single Crochet into every stitch. Slip Stitch into the top of chain 1.
Row 14 - 16~ Change yarn colour to white. Chain 1, then Single Crochet into every stitch. Slip Stitch into the top of chain 1.
Row 17 - 18~ Change yarn colour to green. Chain 1, then Single Crochet into every stitch. Slip Stitch into the top of chain 1.
Row 19~ Change yarn colour to white. Chain 1, then Single Crochet into every stitch. Slip Stitch into the top of chain 1.
Row 20 - 22~ Change yarn colour to red. Chain 1, then Single Crochet into every stitch. Slip Stitch into the top of chain 1.
Row 23 - 24~ Change yarn colour to white. Chain 1, then Single Crochet into every stitch. Slip Stitch into the top of chain 1.
Row 25~ Change yarn colour to green. Chain 1, then Single Crochet into every stitch. Slip Stitch into the top of chain 1.
{Note: Depending on the height of your phone, you can add and adjust a couple of extra rows.}
I know the case is looking very long and skinny at the moment, but once it's on your phone it stretches out just enough for a snug fit.
Fasten off, and weave in ends.

Hope you all enjoyed this cute little pattern!
If you did crochet this, please post a photo of your creation onto my Facebook Page.
I'd love to see it!
 Have a lovely day crocheting!
