Baby Candy Cane Elf Hat Crochet Pattern
I also love any excuse to sing Christmas carols, who doesn’t? They’re so jolly, and just so happen to have that special yet magical ability to make me happy no matter what!
Unlike most families, mine opens our presents on Christmas Eve. It’s a South African tradition, and I love it! What’s one of your family holiday traditions??
So seeing as I’m in such a Christmas-y mood, I thought I’d share this pattern for an adorable baby candy cane elf hat!

Do you have a gauge for this pattern? I tend to crochet tight and always have to change my hook size.

Thank you for this pattern, I love it. I have made elf hats for adults for several years. Our crochet group that makes octopuses for our local NICU has been asked to make “Santa” hats in red and white for the babies that leave there to go home in December. I have been trying to make them with my made up pattern, and have some really poor results. So, I will have to leave off the flaps and downsize them somewhat, but your pattern will be great to use and share with the group. Our family has always opened gifts on Christmas Eve, I was a nurse and usually had to work on Christmas day, so we did our dinner and gifts the night before. Merry Christmas and thanks again.
