Adult Candy Cane Leg Warmers Crochet Pattern

As much as I love a warm, beach filled Christmas, I think it would be amazing being able to crochet myself and all of my lovely friends some warm and snuggly Christmas things to wear!
Despite that, I've gone ahead and crocheted this adorable set of candy cane leg warmers and written up the pattern just for you guys!.. But don't worry, I'm sure I'll get a lot of wear out of them once our winter rolls around.

What You'll Need:
6.00mm Crochet Hook
2 Colours of 150g 8ply Yarn
Scissors
Tapestry/Wool Needle

Finished Size
Adult
{Length 15.5 Inches (40cm) from top to bottom}
{Width 11 Inches (28cm) at the bottom, 13 Inches (33cm) at the top}

{This is the list of colours I used.}

~ Bottom Ribbing ~

Row 1~ Taking your 6.00mm crochet hook and crimson red yarn, start of by making a Slip Knot, then crochet 9 Chains. Crochet 1 Single Crochet into the third chain from your hook. Then crochet 1 Single Crochet into every chain across. You should have 8 single crochets now.
Row 2-28~ Chain 1. Crochet 1 Single Crochet into every stitch all across, but only through the front loop.
When you've completed all the rows, connect the two ends of the band together to create a circle and Slip Stitch them together.
Fasten off, and weave in loose ends.
{Note: You can either add or take away a few rows depending on your ankle size.}

Round 1~ Change yarn colour to snow white. Rotating your work (ribbing), attach your snow white yarn to the last stitch of Row 28. Chain 2. ~ Top Ribbing ~

Row 2-36~ Chain 1. Crochet 1 Single Crochet into every stitch all across, but only through the front loop.
{Note: You can either add or take away a few rows depending on your calf size.}

When you've completed all the rows, connect the two ends of the band together to create a circle and Slip Stitch them together.
Now, taking your leg warmer and top ribbing, turn them both inside out. Using your crimson red yarn, join the two pieces by Slip Stitching them together.
Once you've slip stitched all around, fasten off, and weave in loose ends.
Taking your leg warmer, turn it outside in.
Repeat entire pattern once more to make a pair of leg warmers.

Hope you all enjoyed this festive pattern!
These legwarmers go perfectly with ankle boots as well as ballet flats.
If you did crochet this, please post a photo of your creation onto my Facebook Page.
I'd love to see it.
Have a lovely day crocheting!

    1. It's an Australian brand called "Needles" that I get from my local craft store. I also buy a lot of yarn from Lincraft, especially when I'm looking for bulky yarns.

  4. Hi!I’d like to feature your pattern in a free pattern roundup on Moogly! This would include the photo and a link, but not the pattern itself. Hope that’s alright - let me know if you’d rather not be included. :)
