Today I wanted to share a pattern
for a toddler slipper, called the “Toddler Boat Slippers”. I made a baby version a few
months back, and thought a toddler version would be so fun!

Toe Flap
Start of by chaining 4.
Row 1: Sc 2 into 2nd ch from hook. Sc 1. Sc 2 in last st. turn.
Row 2: Ch 1. Sc 2 in same st. Sc 3. Sc 2 in last st. turn.

Row 13: Ch 1. Sc in same st. Hdc 1. Dc 3. Hdc 1. Sc 1. Tie off, leave a long tail.
Using your yarn needle and the tail of your flap, attach the flap. Line it up and go in and out, catching the stitches on the shoe, and the corresponding loop in the flap. Take care to secure the sides of the flap, where the top meets the side.
Finish by taking a piece of white yarn and making the laces. Start on either side and go down through the hole and come out directly below the lace loop. From there, go in and out evenly until you reach the other side and go up and out the
other lace loop.
other lace loop.
Tie of bow and trim the ends. The laces can be used to tighten around your toddlers foot if it is too slim.
I am currently working on other sizes, but if you prefer not to wait, I normally will go up or down 2 chains on the foundation to make the slipper one size bigger or smaller.

Hi, I'm in the middle of making these and i'm a little lost. i'm at the toe flap part. you have 3 sections that say toe flap. The first 2 are in bold, and they say the exact same thing, but with different lines in between them. The 3rd actually has the title, Toe Flap. so I'm not sure if that's on purpose or if I'm only supposed to do that last one. Any clarification you can give me in regards to this would be wonderful! thanks!

have you ever gotten a reply ?
Anna Eddleman says
I can't figure this out, the top STRAPS are not lining up, plus as the lady inthe above comment mentioned you have different sections for the toe flap, some are bold and some aren't, this is a cute pattern but we need some clarifications please, would really like to finish this please help and thank you

Hi Anna,
Since this is not my pattern, but instead Bethany's, I don't really know how to help you out.
If you're still having trouble though, just pop on over to "Whistle & Ivy" and contact Bethany directly.
Have a lovely day,
Olivia Xx

Hi Bethany,
Love this pattern. Tried several times to adjust this pattern for a size 9, for a 4 yr. old with no luck. Do you now have different sizes? If so, may I have the size 9? These slippers are too cute.
