DIY Resin Flower Earrings

Don't you just love getting things in the mail? A few days ago a little brown parcel arrived at my front door. As always, I was very exited to open it up and explore through it's contents.
Grabbing my scissors off of my desk I gently cut through the excessive thick brown tape that covered it. Finally the parcel was open.
It was full of packets that were filled with resin beads! I've always had a strong love for resin flowers and cameos, so 2 weeks ago I decided to order some of Ebay, and I'm so happy I did! I adore them!
Here's a quick tutorial using some of them.

What You'll Need:
2x Earring Backs
Glue Gun

1~ Start of by selecting the resin flowers you want to use. You'll need 2 of every flower, since you're making a pair of earrings.

2~ Turn your glue gun on, and wait for it to heat up. Once it's warm, squirt a little hot glue onto your earrings stud post. Quickly place your flower onto the stud post. (If you wait to long, the glue will dry and set.)
3~ Wait for the glue to dry, and then it's time to enjoy your new flower earrings!

They are SO quick and easy to make, and best of all, they're cute!
Well I hope you all enjoyed that tutorial!
If you did make these earrings, please post a photo onto my Facebook Page, I'd love to see them!
Have a lovely day crafting everyone!

  1. I love those little flowers too. I like to put them on the end of a hairpin. I bought some with a flat plate at the end just for this. I've also put stacks of buttons and flowers made of buttons on the hair pins.

  2. just wondering if there is a seller that you would recommend for buying these? thanks, kaidee

    1. I bought mine from this Ebay shop ~

Aren't they just so cute?? :)

  3. Do you ever have an issue with things separating when you use hot glue? I have a pair of earrings, little jade wolves, and one of them fell off the earring base...I want to put it back together and get back to wearing them, however, I'm worried about what type of adhesive to use to get them back together. They're quite special to me, and if I were to lose one because of the wrong glue I'd be simply devastated!.

    1. Hi Amanda!
Hot glue has always worked well for me, but if you'd like extra assurance that it won't fall off, try using "Two Part Epoxy Glue". It's used often in jewellery making since it's quite strong.
      Hope this helps!

    2. It totally does!! Do you have any earring recipi's for someone without pierced ears? I don't have them, and I really want cute earrings.

  4. did you made it? I also have earrings like this, but different color! Its pretty..

  5. I buy pretty and unusual button without holes (they have a back that you sew to the fabric), snip off the back, and glue the post to them. Very nice. Plus, lots of colors and variety of detail.
