Hark The Herald Angels ~ DIY Angel Christmas Tree Ornament

I created these little angel Christmas tree ornaments yesterday, and they actually inspired me to do some research on angels. I found a lot of interesting things out actually. Such as, messenger is translated from the word Malachim, which is the general word for angels. Pretty cool, right? I've always loved learning, so I guess that's were my obsession for reading comes from. That, or my mum :)
Anyway, here's the tutorial for these cute little ornaments!

What You'll Need:
*Beads
(I used small round ones for the head, and tear drop shaped ones for the bodies)
*Cell Phone Tags
*41mm Silver Eye Pins
*Bead Caps
*Angel Wing Beads
*Round Nose Pliers

Tutorial:
Step One ~ Start of by threading your selected beads onto your eye pin. You will need to do them in this order. Thread your tear drop bead first, then your bead cap, followed by an angel wing, and then a head bead.
Step Two ~ Take your round nose pliers, and make a loop at the top with the remaining wire of your eye pin. If you're using eye pins longer than 41mm you'll need to cut off some of your excess wire with a wire cutter.
Step Three ~ Open the loop you just made to the side, and slide on your cell phone tag. Using your pliers, close the loop back up again.

So that's it! Hope you all enjoyed this super quick and easy Christmas tutorial!I'm sure your angels will look beautiful on all of your Christmas trees!
If you did make this project, please post a photo to my Facebook Page, I'd love to see it!

    1. I get almost all my supplies of of ebay. It's MUCH cheaper than what they'll go for in a craft store. If you search angel wing beads on ebay you'll find a ton of different ones. :)

    1. I think the beads were about 1.5cm tall, and the wings were about 2cm wide. :)

  9. Is the green bead smooth? I'm trying to find that color, but am finding different shades and they don't have a smooth surface.
