Cute As A Button ~ Easy Button Earring Tutorial

I know I've said this MANY times before, but I absolutely love buttons! You can use them for basically any craft, and they are so cute!
The other day when I had a friend over, we were inspired by my buttons, and decided to create some earrings!

Here's a quick and easy tutorial to you can make some for yourself! :)

What You'll Need:
*Glue Gun

1~ Start of by selecting the buttons you want to use. You'll need 2 of every button, since you're making a pair of earrings.
2~ Turn your glue gun on, and wait for it to heat up. Once it's warm, squirt a little hot glue onto your earrings stud post. Quickly place your button onto the stud post. (If you wait to long, the glue will dry and set.)
3~ Wait for the glue to dry, and then it's time to enjoy your new button earrings!

Extra Idea:
You don't have to use just buttons. I've used beads, lego pieces, and really anything that fits onto a stud!

They are SO quick and easy to make, and best of all, they're cute!
Well I hope you all enjoyed that tutorial!
If you did make these button earrings, please post a photo of your creation onto my Facebook Page, I'd love to see it! Please Subscribe to my blog, it would really make my day!
Have a lovely day crafting everyone!

  1. Dear Olivia;
    Oh my gosh! These are the cutest earrings I have ever seen in my life! I just got my ears pierced this year and I can't wait to make these!
    The problem is, I only own fish-hook earrings. I don't suppose you have any recommendations as to how I would make these work with them?
    Thanks for the great idea!

    1. Hi Jess!
      Wow, thank you so so much! You've just made my day ten times better. :) I'm not sure how you could use fish-hooks to make these earrings, but I do have another tutorial for button earrings that you use fish-hooks for! Here's the link for you if you'd like to check it out :)

    2. Dear Olivia;

  3. The little tiny chairs are adorable for displaying earrings! I'm so in love with the first image: PINNED!

  4. This took me back to my childhood. My grandmother was always into the latest crafty craze and for a couple of years it was button earrings. Whenever she had buttons with the shanks on the back, it was my job to cut off the shanks and then use a big ol' heavy duty file to file them down to make the back smooth for the studs. I remember plastic shavings getting everywhere!! Thanks for the flashback. :D By the way, I love the little chairs to display them. What a cute idea!

  5. It looks so cute, it is suitable to decorate make up table.
