Colour~ DIY Aztec Inspired Earrings

“The purest and most thoughtful minds are those which love colour the most. ”
~ John Ruskin

Colour is such an amazing thing! It's what helps to make life beautiful.
I love how the Aztec's were obsessed with the colour turquoise as well as reds and yellows!
It's like they realised early on that colour is such a huge and special part of life...

This mini tutorial was inspired by one of the many beautiful Aztec colours, Turquoise!

What You'll Need:
2x Silver Fish Hook Earring Findings
2x 1½ Inch or 4cm Silver Earring Hoops
2x Silver Butterfly Wing Findings
2x Silver Eye Pins
60x Seed Beads -{I used a turquoise colour to go with the aztec theme}
 Wire Cutters
Round Nose Pliers
Chain Nose Pliers

Instructions:
Step One~ Start by taking your chain nose pliers and opening up your Earring Hoops.

Step Two~  Start threading your seed beads onto your earring hooks. I threaded on 30 seeds beads onto each hoop. You can always thread more or less beads onto your hoops. It's all up to you!

Step Three~ Taking your chain nose pliers again, close up your hoops.
Step Four~ Now it's time to add the butterfly findings! Thread one butterfly finding onto each eye pin.
Then take your wire cutters, and shorten your eye pin, leaving enough wire to make a loop.

Step Five~ Using your round nose pliers, make a loop with any excess eye pin wire.
Step Six~ Take your chain nose pliers, and open the loops at the top of each butterfly finding, and attach it to your earring hooks, closing the loop afterwards. Do the same to the other side, but attach it to your earring hoops this time instead.

You're done!!
I hope you all enjoyed this tutorial :)
