I made this flower with a particular beanie in mind. I thought the lovely dusty pink would compliment the white baby beanie, which would be perfect for any little baby girl!

What You’ll Need:
7.00 Crochet Hook
4.50 Crochet Hook
8ply Yarn
Wool/Tapestry Needle
Scissors

Extra Large Flower:
Round 1~ Start by making a Slip Knot with your 7.00 Crochet Hook, then Chain 4. Slip Stitch into the first chain you made (this creates a circle), then chain up 2. *Crochet 1 Double Crochet into the circle, chain 1. Repeat from the * 5 times. Slip stitch into the top of chain 2.

Round 2~ Chain up 2, then double crochet into the same stitch. Crochet 2 double crochets into every stitch and chain all the way around. Join together with a slip stitch into the top of chain 2.

Round 3~ Chain up 2, then double crochet into the same stitch. Crochet 1 double crochet into the next stitch. *Crochet 2 double crochets into the next stitch. Then crochet 1 double crochet into the next 2 stitches. Repeat from the * all around. Join together with a slip stitch into the top of chain 2.

Round 4~ Chain up 1. *Single Crochet into the next stitch. Double crochet into the same stitch. In the next stitch crochet 2 double crochets. Crochet 3 Triple/Treble Crochets in the next stitch. Then crochet 2 double crochets into the next stitch. Crochet 1 double crochet in the next stitch, and crochet a single crochet into the same stitch. Repeat from the * all around. Join together with a slip stitch into the top of chain 2.
Fasten off, and weave in ends.

I Love the Hat. Can you give directions for a larger one, for a 7 year old? I would love to make it for my twin granddaughters.
You are so talented and all your projects are beautiful.

    Thank you

Aw thank you! I'm so glad you like it! Well I am quite busy in the next few days, but as soon as I get a chance I'll try to figure out a pattern for an older child!
Hope you have a lovely day!

Hi Olivia, what does "chain all the way around" means?

Round 2~ Chain up 2, then double crochet into the same stitch. Crochet 2 double crochets into every stitch and chain all the way around. Join together with a slip stitch into the top of chain 2.

      Hi Sarah!
What I mean is that you need to do a double crochet 'Into' every single stitch on that round OR every single chain 🙂 Hope this helps!

Thanks for the great patterns! I'm a little confused with the instructions for the medium flower. Round 3, after the triple crochet does the next double crochet go into the same stitch as the triple crochet or the next stitch?

Aw that's ok Deanna! The double crochet goes into the next stitch, the stitch after the stitch where the triple crochets are in 🙂

My flowers are not coming out. Can you edit this so it says how many stitches/dc you are supposed to end up with at the end of the round please?

The extra large flower only seems to end up with 4 petals instead of 6?

I reread the pattern an seen at the end that you said to sew together, maybe you need to put at beginning a special note, that there are 4 different layers of flower that are sewn together when all layers are crocheted, small flower to medium flower, then medium to large an large to extra large to make one
flower, so people know there are more than one layer of flower an you put layers together. Where you say chain all the way around, you should put double crochet in each stitch, including each chain, all the way around. Now that I understand the layering,I will try again. You should also put where the color changes of yarn go on the small flower layer, an also different colors on the other layers too.
