Keep It Together~ DIY Painted Bobby Pins

Something I've always found interesting is how a little bobby pin and keep all your hair together! It's always the little things that fascinate me :)
I saw this idea on Pinterest of painting bobby pins with nail polish, so here is a tutorial to glam up your  bobby pins!

Things You'll Need:
Bobby Pins
Nail Polish - I used Ulta3's, in the colours Jelly Bean and Purple Pumps.
Piece of Cardboard
Wax or Baking Paper

Instructions:
1. Start by placing your baking paper onto your cardboard, then start sliding your bobby pins onto the piece of cardboard over the baking paper.
2. Take your nail polish and start painting your bobby pins in long and gentle strokes. I usually do a few coats so that the colour really POPS and also it prevents it from chipping as easily.
3. Touch the bobby pins lightly with the tip of your finger to make sure they're dry, then slide the bobby pins off, and wear them!

Voila! You are done :)
If you did create these, please post a photo of your new bobby pins onto my Facebook Page!
I'd love to see them!
Hope you all enjoyed this easy DIY!

  1. I'll bet if you used wax paper, or parchment paper, on the cardboard the paint wouldn't stick to the paper.
