Cherry On Top ~ How To: Bake Cherry Cookies

I woke up this morning with no idea that I would be baking today.
You see, my mum needed to go somewhere and had nothing to take with her... Now be honest, hasn't that happened to us all?
I thought of baking my choc chip cookies for her to take with, but unfortunately when you live in a house filled with sweet tooth's choc chips don't last long haha
So I had a look in the pantry and decided to make Cherry and Macadamia Cookies! Those 15 minutes they were baking felt like forever! I was hoping, praying and crossing my fingers that they would taste great.. seeing as I had never made these cookies! Thankfully they taste amazing!.. even my younger sister that's quite the picky eater loved them! So of course I'm busy wearing a big smile on my face right now! 'Mission Accomplished'!!!
Anyways here's the recipe for anyone that wants to give it a go :)

1 Cup Plain Flour,
1 Cup Self Raising Flour,
1 Cup Brown Sugar,
1 Egg,
165 grams Soft Butter.
1 Cup Glazed Cherries
1/2 Cup Macadamia Nuts

Preheat oven 180 Fan Forced oven.
Mix all dry ingredients together with your hands, then add egg and soft butter, keep mixing with hands. Form into 25-30 medium sized balls, and place on baking tray. Press down gently to slightly flatten them out.
Bake 10-15 minutes.
After baking place cookies on a cooling rack.

Then simply enjoy them! The sweetness of the cherries balances out the saltiness of the nuts.
I hope you all enjoyed this recipe, if you have any questions, comment away!
