Ocean Filled With Pearls ~ DIY Hoop Earrings

I haven't been making that many earrings lately due to being very busy. So yesterday I decided to change that! I sat down and began beading! :) It was great just getting back into the flow of working with wire, pliers and glass beads again.

Growing up next to the ocean I've always loved walking on the beach and collecting seashells, rocks and beach glass. There's something magical about discovering little treasures from the sea. This project is inspired by that memory.

What You'll Need:
2x Ear Hooks
2x Earring Hoops
2x 20cm - 24 Gauge Silver Wire
2x Assortment of  Blue Glass Beads and Pearls
Wire Cutters
Chain Nose Pliers
(I also used a Beading Mat)

Step One ~ Slowly start tightly wrapping the 24 gauge wire 3 times around the start of the earring hoop to form a small coil.

Step Two ~ Once secure thread on a bead or pearl, then go back onto the earring hoop with the wire and do 1-2 tightly wrapped coils with your pliers to secure. Keep doing this process till you reach the end of the earring hoop.
Step Three ~ Wrap the coil 3 times tightly around the end of the earring hoop, then turn back around and start working your way back towards the start of the earring hoop. Thread a bead or pearl again, and coil every second gap between the first layer of beads and wire.

Step Four ~ End it of with a few tight coils at the end, then cut away excess wire.

Step Five ~ Attach earring hook to beaded earring hook.

And you're done! I hope you all enjoyed that tutorial, if you have any questions, comment away!
